So, I'm only out $4 plus tax. But I sure didn't expect this! It wouldn't even start on my newer laptop with the integrated and shared memory Intel video. My Dell desktop machine is a few years old now and the ATI All-in-Wonder 8500 is a tad older than that. It's got hardware rendering issues that make it unplayable - all the figures are ghost white and four triangles keep flashing from the center to the four corners of the play window. Two things should have been done with this game that one can only hope will be done in the future: (1) don't build for the latest greatest computers because it's not that big of a market and you're very unlikely to drive very much of the upgrade market and (2) to the extent that there are particular requirements for your game, don't hide them in microscopic white print on the bottom flap of the box or on the first couple of pages of the printed manual. I'll go through the trouble of making sure everything is as up to date as possible but ATI stopped providing support for this card awhile back now and I'm pretty sure I got everything as latest as possible here. Meantime, I'd suggest you look elsewhere for entertainment. Sorry. |
