Nutiva Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 54-Ounce Jar

Talk about a pleasant surprise.

I had previously purchased coconut oil from a chinese supermarket nearby. It tasted horrible and also had a rancid smell to it. I poured 1 tbsp in my smoothie and it was ruined. I ordered Nutiva and patiently awaited it's arrival.

I opened the jar to the nice fresh mild sweet fragrance of coconuts. I resided in the caribbean for many years so I KNOW what coconut oil and coconuts should smell like.

I will NEVER look elsewhere to purchase my coconut oil. Nutiva is my final destination.

I have found my paradise... the oil tastes clean ( if you know what I mean). It has a mild taste of coconut. wow!!! I really enjoyed my smoothie today. YUM!!!

This is a great product. There are so many health benefits from coconut oil, but our favorite use for it is to make popcorn.

I'm pretty new to coconut oil. I've been reading about it's benefits and using it for less then 6mo. The first brand I tried was the cheap Walmart brand...Louana. I liked the benefits so much that I decided to try better stuff. I picked up a jar of Nutiva and was pleasantly surprised how much better it was then Louana. Louana had no taste or smell, while Nutiva tasted and smelled like coconut. It absorbed much better into my skin and hair also. I'm a curious soul so I decided to try a "raw" coconut brand and tried Coconut Pacific and it blew me away!! I tasted and smelled like "FRESH" cracked open coconuts! Nutiva tastes and smells like toasted coconuts. While this isn't a bad thing in my book, I prefer the fresher taste of Coconut Pacific. I'll never buy Louana again and I'll use Nutiva on my skin and hair or when I cook and bake. Coconut Pacific is my go to EVCO when I put it in my coffee or on toast, bread, oatmeal, or straight out of the jar!!! Its more expensive then Nutiva and I wish Amazon had larger jars of this stuff but it's by far my favorite!!! Try it and you'll be ruined and broke like me but HAPPY!!

Since reading about the benefits of coconut oil in Dr. Fife's books, I replaced all my 'unhealthy' oils with coconut oil and also begun oil pulling. With that, I've tried different coconut oils and in my opinion Aloha Nu is the best tasting. It has a nice mild coconut taste and even tastes good right off the spoon. Perhaps the difference is their origin (from Hawaii vs. Philippines.) So, if you still haven't tried this brand, give it a shot. It may become your favorite too.
