![]() Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum * As Refreshing As An Island Sea Breeze. 6 Fl. Oz. $3.99 We all know this one from corner barbershop days. Somewhat strong, inexpensive, in an unbreakable bottle that easily seals. A bargain. ![]() Clubman Special Reserve After Shave Cologne 6oz $4.95 I made a Clubsman gift basket for my fiance as a surprise gift, along with a shaving set. He keeps asking where I found everything. I love the way this smells. ![]() Clubman Lilac Vegetal 12.5 oz. (After Shave Lotion) $7.49 I have used Lilac Vegetal for more than 20 years, and think that is enough experience to give an opinion. Lilac Vegetal 1) after a modest alcohol burn, works very well to soothe and heal skin after shaving, 2) is really cheap, as a bottle (8 bucks in 2009) lasts me well more than one year shaving 4-5 times per week, and 3) is an alcohol-based light floral that develops and fades so quickly that it doesn't interfere with my daily, better fragrances (Habit Rouge, Azzaro for Men, Fahrenheit, Fou d"Absinthe, Mitsouko, etc.) For what it is, I highly recommend Lilac Vegetal. As for some folks finding it unpleasant smelling, well, we have different noses and body chemistries, so who knows? All I can say is that it never once smelled wrong to me, or anyone I've been close to. Most find it mild and inoffensive. And again, as it dries down and fades so fast, folks don't notice it after 90 minutes, so who knows how they'd react if it lingered? If you want a more fragrant Pinaud aftershave, try Clubman (quite sweet, maybe citrus and jasmine over ambergris?) or Bay Rum (very spicy, smells like black pepper to me, burns like heck). Both have, I'd guess, millions of fans. ![]() Clubman Country Club Shampoo Enriched with Panthenol (Provitamin B5) 16 fl oz (473 ml) $4.38 World Famous Since 1810 The Natural Hair Thickener pH |
