This book is absolutely terrible. It managed to confuse me even by its discussions of things that I already knew.

The examples given in the chapters are totally useless. They're designed so that they can use simplifications that only occur in very specific (i.e. almost never) circumstances. As a result, its nearly impossible to use them as study aids or as guides when doing the problems.

The authors apparently assume that everyone learns by looking at pictures and memorizing equations. I don't; I learn from example, and this book was not at all useful to me, except as a formula reference, and even then it wasn't very good. I frequently had to find other resources for useful examples and for equations that should have been present but weren't.

My niece was assigned to read this book at UCSanta Barbara. She shared it with me and I could NOT put it down. It ended as a cliffhanger and I wanted more! She told me there was a sequel so I immediately went to the first,second and finally third book store and found the sequel. Once finished, I wanted more! Another cliffhanger. That is when I went on Amazon to order the first book for my kids to read and then the third.Now I want to meet this professor. I so enjoyed reading about his life.

the film shows about party people and how drugs work on them. you learn how people change with drugs and their thinking. also good looking people at the movie so I give 5 points and you won't see the film only one time, sure!

My son has not really ever been one to sit for hours playing with a toy. He moves on quickly and gets bored easily. This kit is so much fun, not only does he sit for hours, he brings it out over and over again to play. We will definitely buy the upgrade kit this Christmas. He received this two Christmas' ago and it is still in the rotation! A sure winner.
