I've had this drive for about 8 months, and the physical drive is working fine. I was suspicious about the slider when I bought it, and yes it did wear out, becoming loose after about a month and ceasing to catch about about 2 months. But the actual USB drive, the part that counts, is working like a champ. I keep it on my keychain, and the little wire jump ring they sent with it pried apart, but it was easily replaced with a mini key ring I had lying around the house. While the drive slides back and forth in the plastic housing, it hasn't fallen out of it yet. If it ever does that, I'll probably still keep using it and put it in my wallet, it's that thin.

Also the matte grey coating is just paint, and has mostly worn off to show a shiny aluminum like color beneath. Not sure why they didn't just leave it that color.

Props for having the smallest form factor to storage size ratio of any USB drive I've seen. It's almost like a mini-SD.

This item was totally misrepresented. I purchased from this seller because the item was listed as "Like New" and their listing read "ships same day". I even paid extra for priority shipping (it was intended as a special birthday surprise for my son). I also sent the seller an email asking them to confirm actual date of shipping and a follow up email when it didn't arrive on time. The seller did Not respond to either email. The item arrived almost a week late with no note of explanation for the delay. The Most disappointing part of this entire transaction was the total misrepresentation of the item itself. The cover was extremely faded and the binding split the moment the book was opened. This was NOT the special birthday surprise I had hoped to give my son. In all my years of online purchasing, I have not had a more disappointing experience.
