![]() Chaos Theory $27.98 I really liked this movie because it is an interesting way to see one's entire life as a series of comedic events. Ryan Reynolds plays efficiency expert, kind of person who cannot live without organizers, priority lists and carefully scheduled events. One morning, his wife plays a practical joke on him, that causes a series of events neither one of them could have possibly anticipated. From mild misunderstanding to major discoveries, their entire married life suddenly start getting a whole new dimension to it. What is a couple to do when they both suddenly realize that their life together has never been what it seems? ![]() The Essence of Chaos (The Jessie and John Danz Lecture Series) $14.95 Edward Lorenz is credited with "discovering" chaos theory based on his meteorological work. In The Essence of Chaos, Lorenz does a great job describing the historical background of chaos theory and its implications for the natural world. Well-written with some interesting graphics. ![]() Chaos Theory: Splinter Cell 3 Soundtrack $12.98 3 1/2 Tobin's exquisite video-game offering might feel melodically fragmented even compared to his normally choppy electronic flair, but detached from any button-pushing the disc still works surprisingly well and holds up to the detailed and dense production he is known for. ![]() Chaos: A Very Short Introduction (Very Short Introductions) $11.95 I am a physicist with a PhD who likes reading almost anything on physics, astronomy, and mathematics. These "...very short introductions" are concise, entertaining, and for the most part instructive. I recommend these books to researchers in these fields as a good review and to those seeking a more detailed educational experience than most popularizations sans equations. |
