Handbags > Totes ![]() Step By Step Wire $23.96 I love Step by Step Wire (SBSW) and Step by Step Bead (SBSB) magazines. The projects in SBSW are generally up-to-date and things I enjoy making. I love that fact that they rate the projects as beginner to advanced. Most times, I use the projects as a reference; I don't always make them exactly as they appear in the magazine, but rather I use the project as a starting point. In general, I enjoy reading the articles as well. ![]() By Reason of Insanity $13.99 I will read more by this author. Characters and situations were out of the ordinary and interesting. Great lite read. ![]() Bright Starts By Your Side Infant Seat - Neutral $69.99 This infant seat has been wonderful! We like this seat for many reasons: -This sits baby up off the ground with his tush about couch-height. This is great for us because we have animals and don't want them over-loving the baby. -The height of the seat is also ideal for face-to-face time. We place our son in his seat and face him right towards us so we can talk to him. He smiles and coos. Our baby loves watch his 6-year-old brother while he plays video games. -There are four recline positions so we can continue to use this seat as baby grows. Our little one is 8 weeks and we have it on the second lowest setting which is a moderate sit, but we often lower it to flat and let our little guys take afternoon naps in it. -Baby is cradled in the seat which is wonderful! Our little guy never wants to be put down but this seat he allows since he is very snug in it and it probably feels similar to being held. -The fabric is soft and neutral colors so it fits in with our living room decor. Since this chair will be in our living room for the next year we didn't want an eyesore. -Our little one doesn't really like the vibration but the music on this is really nice. It isn't tinny or hokey like so many baby toys are. I enjoy the music and there are two volumes. There is also a white noise sound that works well when we first get started on a nap. -This seat doesn't actually bounce, it will rock though and that was better for our baby anyway. He is very fussy and we wanted something that would help us soothe him (especially in the evenings...he's sitting in it right now). You can rock the seat with a hand or there are kickstands on the front and back and you can use your foot on these to rock the seat as well. -We don't use the underneath basket (because our dog eats everything) but it is a nice size that would hold a blanket, a pack of diapers, and wipes if we chose. -We aren't using the toy bar right now because our little fuss pot only likes people for entertainment but when we do get it out we will change the toys to something more eye-catching for baby. The toys that came with it are neutral, one color, but very soft so we will use them for tummy time since the soft fabric will appeal. -This was also pretty simple to set up...took me ten minutes while holding the baby. The downfalls of this seat are that it doesn't bounce (but we didn't want that anyway) and it is big so it would not be easy to take it with you when visiting. |
