I joined a gym for the first time in my life, six months ago. I wanted to lose thirty pounds and get in shape. Other than using the treadmill and stationary bike, I had no clue about how to work out, what [if any] machines I should use, or if free weights were better than machines or vise-versa. I'm more toned and stronger than I ever have been.

Friends, family and coworkers have commented on how I look now and assume that I'm spending at least two to three hours a day in the gym - when I'm actually spending just under one hour.

This is a great read, hope more is coming. I'd like to hear more about even earlier bodybuilders from before the 60's. It would be great to hear the stories before the "juice" era arrived and changed the spirit of bodybuilding.
