![]() Serif Internet Design Suite $49.99 Serif Internet Design Suite is three programs - WebPlus 10, PhotoPlus 9, and PhotoObjects. WebPlus 10 is fine for the beginner who wants to make a simple web site. It is fairly intuitive but lacks impressive features. Serif has since come out with a newer version of WebPlus that does more, but you can find free or inexpensive programs to complement this version and save a bundle. For example, the photo gallery is much too basic, but there are many other photo galleries you can incorporate into your WebPlus 10 web site. The other two programs, PhotoPlus and PhotoObjects, are not useful unless you are familiar with programs such as PhotoShop. The price was right for the simple web site I am creating, but one could do better if willing to spend more. ![]() The Foodista Blog $1.99 Foodista offers a great foodie blog. Foodista will tempt you with delicious recipes and amuse you with random food facts. Did you know for example that November 4th is National Candy Day? Foodista does. Another reason I like Foodista is that they license their content under a Creative Commons license, which enables others to legally share and remix. You can support open content providers by reading their blog. ![]() GiSTEQ CD110BTPRO Bluetooth GPS Digital PhotoTracker Pro, for Digital Cameras For Winsdows (MAC COMPATIBLE" Refer to Manufacturers Website ) $149.99 I bought this for a safari in Tanzania. First mistake- I should have bought the kind that takes AA or AAA batteries because charging was a hassle. Not that I didn't have to charge my camera batteries, but having to charge multiple things every night was a challenge. This device worked, and I've successfully geo-tagged thousands of photos. I love being able to see where we went every day. But it wasn't easy. The instruction manual is lacking. It took me a couple days to figure out how to mute the silly thing. If you're pretty tech savy, this is fine. But I think most people wouldn't be able to figure this out. |
