![]() Reconciliation Blues: A Black Evangelical's Inside View of White Christianity $16.00 Mr Gilbreath writes of his experiences in the mostly white headquarters of evangelical denominations. Some of the white executives and decision-makers were blind to racial problems and didn't seem very willing to make any real changes in their policies and priorities. Mr Gilbreath is short on explanations for the presence of racism and offers very little advice on how to deal with it. He is very tempted to do as many in his shoes have done: move to all Black organizations. I'm afraid this is like most modern exposes, whose only conclusion is "Ain't it awful!" ![]() View Slimmy SE Black/Red Liner (M87SEB) $42.95 This wallet is really, really thin, and stylish to boot. It's not going to hold as much as a traditional men's wallet, obviously, but it's still quite spacious for a "front pocket" wallet. I keep my license, health insurance card, 3 credit cards, 3 public-transport cards, a thick bulky proximity card (for work), a picture of my girlfriend (in the front window!) and whatever cash I have on me, and it fits slimly and comfortably in my front pocket. It's certainly a mere shadow of my former tri-fold wallet (even once I'd slimmed it down to only have the stuff I carry currently), and it can be freeing to be forced to decide which bits of plastic and paper are really worth having with you at all times. My only complaint is that I have one pair of pants with very shallow pockets, and if it falls out of your pocket, its contents will all come spilling out when it hits the ground. I've never had problems with this in deeper-pocketed pants though, and have never had any problems with it losing its contents while it's in my pocket. |
