![]() RAMY Bitch Slap $19.00 RAMY Blush in 2 Shades A big disappointment. I have medium skin color and the shade I chose was the Alive. It was not at all visable, actually seemed to match my skin tone. I gave it to my fair skinned daughter, and it did not not even show up on her. Since thrown away, it was just a waste of money. ![]() Bitch Slap: A Mark Manning Mystery (Mark Manning Mysteries) $16.99 SPOILER ALERT: I have some serious criticisms to make that really aren't possible to express without revealing more than a review normally should. So please don't read on if that troubles you. But, speaking as a gay man who has spent most of my career as an attorney for two federal law enforcement agencies, I find the denouement of this book as offensive as it is unrealistic. Doug Pierce's cozy cooperation with a journalist has always struck me as farfetched; but his actions at the end of this story are an utter dereliction of his duty. He was elected to track down the facts of criminal behavior and let the legal system operate, not to act as judge, jury, and pardon-granter. Even if he had known all of the facts, his actions would be improper. But for him to act as he did merely based on his faith in the good nature of one individual is outrageous. He is unfit to be sheriff. I certainly hope that straight readers (if there are any) do not take Mr. Craft's pontifications at the end of this book as a reflection of a "gay sensibility" about criminal justice issues. |
