 I Can't Talk To The Walls Because They're Yelling At Me $14.98 And that is not an exaggeration. This album is a musical masterpeice. Pure genius! The entire album is themed after George Orwell's dystopian novel 1984 and the music captures the feeling of the book magnificently. Even though the whole album is a reference to 1984, ironically the title is a reference from Farhenhiet 451 by Ray Bradbury. Musically, Shmunks For You does an incredible job blending punk with old style emocore, frequently changing between high-pitched screaming-style vocals and melodic singing. The guitar riffs give me the chills. When I listen to this album, I find that it is the only thing I can listen to for months at a time because I know that no other music can ever come close to topping this album. Nothing else is worthy of listening to after you've heard this album. The lyrics make you think. It's not a very surfacy style of music that is more and more common in pop culture today. It's very deep and even dark, but with underlying tones of hopefulness. Personally, I don't think it sounds anything life AFI. But if you love music that defies the boundaries of punk and emocore, you most definitely need to buy this album. You will not regret a penny of it.
