This is an excellent dvd! It flows very nicely and it challenges you to a degree. However, I would not recommend this to anyone who doesn't know sanskrit. If you are a beginner or just not familar with the traditional yoga posture language then you might get a little confused. I recommend also checking out Tamara's Yoga Fusion. She has a great voice, she does speak sanskrit, however, she also gives you the english name for the postures as well. Plus, you can pick and choose from chapters of postures that you want to work on if you don't feel like doing the entire dvd. TAMARA'S YOGA FUSION

The Balanced Scorecard: Translating Strategy into Action

The Balanced Scorecard is the first, most important, and most influential of Kaplan and Norton's books on the implementation of strategic planning. It marks a significant step forward from Hammer and Champy's business process engineering, and it provides a much needed alternative to management's obsession with quarterly reports and short-term profit and loss.

Of course, profit is essential. But what is innovative (and solidly based in practical research) is BSC's focus on three determiners of long-term business success: customer satisfaction, staffing and employee development, and the effectiveness of internal processes and systems. Kaplan and Norton promote BSC as a management method that addresses the special problems of modern business--complexity and high rate of change--and leverages the power of Information Technology in its current state.

The Balanced Scorecard provided me--experienced in business but lacking the MBA--an integrative overview of business knowledge and skills: it told me where my experience fit in the scheme of things, and what I need still to learn. It fits nicely with my studies of enterprise architecture and SOA, and I am pleased to find how thoroughly it accords with Herbert Simon's essential study of organizations, Administrative Behavior.

Kaplan and Norton give us many and extended examples of the application of BSC in different kinds of organizations. What they don't tell us is what kinds (and sizes) of organizations BSC isn't appropriate for. This weakness may be remedied in later books.

I have a pair of 6' BL2A TRS-TRS (shown here), a pair of 15' BL2A TRS-TRS and a pair of 20' BLUC TRS-XLR (all balanced). All are kink free, route well, and lie flat. The shielding is superb - after replacing unbalanced cables with these, the 60 Hz hum that had been plaguing my setup disappeared.

I'm using the cables with the following equipment: an M-Audio ProFire 610, four (4) M-audio BX5a 5-inch studio reference monitors, and an M-Audio BX10s 10-inch sub. (The extra TRS-XLR cable allows me to switch from stereo to 5.1 surround production entirely within the ProFire without rewiring the speakers.)

After having used these bulbs on several photographic applications, I have one word for them...FABULOUS!

I have photographed real estate interiors, pets at a local animal shelter, and now food for a Pittsburgh area restaurant. The ALZO 45 watt has performed exactly "as advertised".

The 5500K provides daylight color light that can be mixed with fill-flash and natural daylight, and one white balance setting does the job. Regarding white balance; you will have to experiment with the WB to find the right setting for your camera. Don't use the auto if you want the best results. On my Nikon D-40, I use the "cloudy +3" white balance for accurate color of my subject.

The brightness of these bulbs, is as advertised, approximately equivalent to a 150 watt incandescent. I use two bulbs with reflectors and they are great for rooms up to about 20', but I may consider a pair of the higher watt ALZOs for larger rooms.
