I initially got this because I don't have a lot of dough to invest in multiple back drops. After my first portrait shoot with these backdrops in mind, I realized that I would have to change the plan for taking portraits.

It depends on how good your software is for cutting out background, Corel Paintshop is great but if you have a narrow depth of field, your cut out may not look as good and it may not fit the backdrop. Normally with portraits, I go for a nice noticable depth of field. When using these backdrops, I found that I had to have all of the subject in focus and add depth of field later in order for it to look natural and not a cutout. You also need to select the backdrop prior to taking your picture so that you can compose the subject to fit in it, control your lighting to fit the backdrop to still have it look natural.

I will say this, you have a ton of fantastic backdrops to pick from and the only complaint I have is that your client will spend literally hours picking and narrowing them down. Great product, great price, very versatile.

The backgrounds on this cd is really cool but it is a little complicated for someone who doesn't know how to do backgrounds very well.

The stands are weak and flimsy definitely not heavy duty. It can hold up very light muslin or paper. It does the job though. Just don't expect quality stuff. Not worth the $125 I paid.
