![]() Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask 16.9 fl oz (500 ml) $50.00 Water is the first ingredient, Cetyl Alcohol the second. I'm always a little wary of conditioners for the hair that are supposed to be very hydrating when they contain a lot of alcohol and are described on the package as flammable. I don't think this product is any better than Nexus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner which can be purchased in a very large bottle from Costco (2.6 X bigger than the Moroccanoil 16.9 oz version) for under $35 last time I checked. It also contains alcohol, but as the 4th ingredient. I decided to buy Argan Oil in its pure form and put it on my hair directly, then use Humectress or Moroccanoil on top of that to add the slippery element that allows me to brush through my long and very curly (therefore also very dry) hair. My hair is the type that can soak up A LOT of oil, proteins, humectants, etc. and still just look shiny and healthy, not greasy. I found a seller on eBay for the Argan Oil (passionmaroc09 is the seller) and it is certified to be the authentic oil and sells for the best prices I have found anywhere. I paid for it on Nov 4, and it arrived all the way from France on November 18. This seller has 100% positive ratings and is about to receive another 5 star from me. Anyway, the Moroccanoil really doesn't have the ingredients to justify the expense, but as I said, it does soften my hair and give it some shine. |
