I think this book worths 4 stars because it contains some minor mistakes, but I put 5 just to close its rating to reality. So, this can be your first book for learning Java, and you can use this book to pass the SCJA exam. Good Luck!

OK...an abbreviated end to Kitchen Person, but this is (far as I can tell) the only place to find Ice Cream Factory and Kites on cd. That's what led me to this. Recommended!

In my opinion this IS required reading. This guy is THE guy when it comes to CCENT/CCNA and getting you the sound foundational skills you will need to pass the test in his CCENT book then going a little deeper with things in the CCNA book. I could not recommend this book enough. For me.......no book......no pass. I would highly recommend getting both the books. You may be surprised how much CISCO you only THINK you knew.
