![]() Leapster Arcade: Letterpillar $17.99 My son Travis recieved the leapster 2 gaming system for his 4th birthday and he is a very active child. This game came with his system. We recently found out that his speech impediments were due to a unilateral hearing loss of the left ear - so severe he has to wear a hearing aide for the rest of his life because there is nothing else they can do. We thought this game would help him to catch up on where he is behind - and it did. After 4 months of playing this game only he is able to talk a lot better and his teachers at school told us they see a remarkable difference in his starter spelling and his speech. This game helped my child be less frustrated - because we used to not be able to understand him - his beginning speech sounds were so bad. The level of the child I think is dependant on whether this game works or not. Besides it is not so expensive I would say don't waste your money. If it didn't come with the system I would have bought it anyway. ![]() Ms. Pac-Man / Galaga Classic Cocktail Table Arcade Game with 19-Inch Monitor $3,399.00 The cocktail-table version of "Ms. Pac Man" has long been a "dream purchase" of mine -- something that, if I ever had the money to buy, would proudly be made the centerpiece of my future living room or "man cave." Well, that day finally came, and as I write this review I'm staring at a gorgeous, wood-paneled Mecca of classic-'80s videogaming sitting across from my computer desk. It is truly a thing to behold. I remember playing hours upon hours of "Ms. Pac Man" in the arcade of an ancient bowling alley in my hometown, and hitting the "Start" button on this baby and playing a quick round brings back waves of nostalgia. It is a faithful port of the game, too -- something a lot of the home-console modern "anniversary" upright versions found in newer arcades sadly failed to replicate. This is fast 'n furious "Ms. Pac Man" as it was meant to be played: with jangled nerves while trying to outrun quick, smart and ruthless ghosts. The inclusion of "Galaga" is nice, but I never played that game much (and am still terrible at it). But as the title of this review says, just having a faithful port of my favorite videogame, in all its cocktail-table glory, in my friggin' house, is worthy of five stars. ![]() Whac-A-Mole Arcade Game $29.99 A arcade classic in your own home! 1-2 players.
