![]() Clinical Anesthesia (Clinical Anesthesia (Barash)) $199.00 I'm a Navy SRNA in school right now. I use this text all the time. It is comparable to Miller in accuracy and analysis, but its true value lies in conveying such a huge amount of information with brevity. The chapters are not so long as to be tedious and they have all been updated with the current research. I actually enjoy reading the chapters - they are informative and presented in a a very readable manner without digressing into unnecessary minutia. I heartedly recommend this is a gold standard reference text for the anesthetic practice. The pages are high quality and color and the online access is very convenient. The only two real choices in reference texts are Barash and Miller. Barash is shorter, cheaper, and just as respected. I like Miller, but I could not get through school without Barash. ![]() Anesthesia Secrets: with STUDENT CONSULT Access $47.95 This is a must have for anyone in the anesthesiology profession. It is streight to the point. ![]() Avoiding Common Anesthesia Errors (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Handbook) $60.95 This is a great book. Its nice for those with short attention spans like myself as each chapter is short and to the point. Interesting subjects are covered such as cardiac issues, pa catheters, iv access, medications, all kinds of good stuff. I'm an icu rn so some of the material is not relevant to me (nerve blocks, anesthetic gas, medical coding), but I enjoyed most of the book a lot. More readable than lots of other medical books, and most of it is relevant to critical care in some way. ![]() Miller's Anesthesia: Expert Consult Premium Edition - Enhanced Online Features and Print, 2-Volume Set $429.00 This is the gold standard for anesthesia. I gave it a 4 not 5 because it is so dense and almost too much at times. |
