I purchased this amp to use as a set up in a shop where I store my toys and tools etc. No major need to audiophile sound but does a good job. Plenty of power to 2 DJ speakers and makes a lot of noise. My only beef with the amp is that there is sometimes a hum at start up that disappears after I turn the volume down and back up. For the price I paid for what I am using it for this is a definite value.

I had this amp set up to power a distributed stereo signal to feed the rest of the house for background music. While it worked for the warranty period reasonably well, it did shut itself off for reasons that never were readily apparent.

Then one day, it tripped off never to come on again. Onkyo service is an exercise in all that is bad with customer service for electronic equipment. If it's out of warranty by even a day, the nature of the discussion with the service tech becomes akin to wading through sludge.

Bottom line, it would cost more to fix it than the cost of a new one. It is a door stop and I bought two Audiosource amps and am quite happy, thank you. I am done with Onkyo.

I love this amp. Im gona order another for 2 Insignias and 2 Pioneer Ts=w308d4 12s. I was shocked because i had a sony explode 800 watt on the Insignias and put the Pyle on them, man the pyle does a whole lot better. It may be cheap but i give it two thumbs up.
