The Honolulu Advertiser has the quality of a big city newspaper. I expect this, and have been a fan of this paper for many years. This morning I'm sitting in a coffee shop, "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf," and have a chance to BUY a Honolulu Advertiser, or get a Star-Bulletin for FREE.

Honolulu Advertiser wins hands down.

Now don't get me wrong. I still enjoy the Star-Bulletin, and have been know to pick one up to read. However, I DEPEND on the Honolulu Advertiser for local, national, and international (good Asia coverage) news. Sports and business coverage is very good. The opinion page, and letters to the editor, have a real finger on the pulse of the state. The Friday TGIF section, even if it is accused of being a Honolulu Weekly copycat, is a necessary part of my weekly planning. And, of course, we all live for the Longs ads!

Good paper! And the web version at honouluadvertiser dot com also is easy to navigate.
