I can't say enough good things about this timer. I've had it installed for several months and works fine. If you understand the basics of wiring, you can install it yourself. There are two models of this timer. One will not work with compact florescent bulbs, but this version does work with compact florescent bulbs. I have it turning on and off five outside CF lights next to my garage doors. It is so nice not to have to adjust a timer anymore for the changing seasons. Photo cell timers are a thing of the past. It is great that a battery helps keep the time during a power outage. Fits perfectly in a standard sized wall outlet. Having to replace the odd size battery every once and a while is the only down side I can see with this timer. Otherwise it is the absolutely the best way to control outside lights all season long.
