![]() Abandon $10.99 I loved surprisingly loved Purpendicular despite Blackmore leaving and was excited about Abandon when it came out. When I heard this I thought they ran out of gas at this point cuz this album was sooo uninspired. It sounds like DP on auto pilot. No crazy classical Jon Lord solos, just noodling and Steve Morse left me longing for Ritchie with his wanking. I almost didn't give Bananas a try because this one was such a bore. Bananas BTW was pretty good. ![]() Searchlights $7.98 Abandon took what they had in the EP and sealed it up to make it even better. They have a sound that's familiar but unique amongst the genre. The lyrics are meaningful and above all true to reality. Prepare to have a worship experience that exposes parts of you that have been buried deep. Tracks like "City Lights" cry for closeness while "Hold On" (the first and what I consider the staple Abandon track) tell a story of a girl lost and beaten by life. Abandon spares no personal reserve when writing this personal and compelling album. ![]() Abandon $4.98 The Abandon CD is an EP (extended play) containing 6 uplifting, catchy songs. My favorite song on the CD is Atmosphere for its smooth vocals, laid back melody and uplifting lyrics about not being alone . Abandon's music is both inspiring and upbeat. ![]() Abandon $25.99 I thought this was an excellent read. The author did a great job of connecting both past and present into one story. I was very entertained. |
