Happy Gilmore (Widescreen Special Edition)
Happy Gilmore (Widescreen Special Edition)

$14.98
HAPPY GILMORE is a surprisingly funny and likable film. It doesn't take itself seriously and neither should the viewer as it is just plain fun whether you are a golf fan or not. Adam Sandler plays a failed hockey player with lots of problems. His girlfriend has just left him because she doesn't want to be with a "loser" and his grandmother is forced to make quilts in an abusive nursing home because her own house is being repossessed due to unpaid taxes. Fortuitously Happy discovers he has an amazing golf drive and with a little coaching from a one handed golf pro played by Carl Withers is able to join the pro tour with hopes of earning enough money to get Grandma's house back. Hilarity ensues as blue collar Happy who has anger management problems and his fans are classic fish out of water in the genteel golf world. Happy has an amusing nemesis, Shooter, who tries to block his new found golf success at every turn. All ends happily and Mr. Gilmore even ends up with a cute new girlfriend. This movie is rated PG-13 which is appropriate as this is actually a pretty mild but funny movie for the Jr. High crowd and older to enjoy.

Purchased in '88, played it in intense rotation for years... and then discovered it missing. Maybe my wife's sister; maybe some other ne'er-do-well. But its absence haunts me as much as the music enchanted me.
'Bang on the Ear' is a sprightly 3-chord ditty, a gritty answer to Willie and Julio's cloying 'To All the Girls I've Loved Before'... G-D-G-D-C, simple as that.

Two of my favorite movies of all time in one package! You cannot go wrong with Adam Sandler. These movies are so funny, you can't help but laugh. In fact, I have seen them so many times that I can quote them without the movie and laugh anyway. If you have not seen these, you are missing out!

This is a hilarious funny about Adam Sandler who has to go back to 1st grade to 12th grade to show his dad he is not a bum. He has to do this to take over his funny hotel business. This is a movie worth watching over and over again.
