Casio Men's Analog Bracelet Watch #MQ24-7B2
Casio Men's Analog Bracelet Watch #MQ24-7B2

$21.95
Bought this watch thinking: How long will a $10 watch last?
Turns out it has become my everyday timepiece. It keeps good time and water resistant to boot!
So lightweight that sometimes I forget that I even have it on!
Seriously thinking about picking up another as a spare.
Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Canvas Strap Watch #BM8180-03E
Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Canvas Strap Watch #BM8180-03E

I bought this watch in Mid 2008. It has lasted me on my trips to India, Costa Rica, and, now, Mexico. I think, the watch is a classic: great to look at and simply tough. I have swum in the ocean with it, regularly done laps in a swimming pool, yet it has stayed waterproof. I would normally give a four-star because the mineral has chipped twice; though the watch has retained water resistance. Yet, given the price and what it has been through, it is a five-star watch.

I purchased this to have something for running and to do outdoor activities with, since my Gucci watch is not at all appropriate! I was expecting a standard digital watch which is what I got. A little on the flimsy side I guess, but it was very inexpensive. Setting the time was a little tricky for some reason, even when following the instructions. I haven't used the stopwatch feature on it yet. I would say that if you have very small wrists you may need to punch another hole in the band. I have mine on the smallest hole and although I have small-ish wrists, I'm not petite by any means.
Omega Men's Speedmaster Professional Mechanical Chronograph Watch #3570.50.00
Omega Men's Speedmaster Professional Mechanical Chronograph Watch #3570.50.00

I have never splurged on a luxury watch before in my life. Up to date, my most expensive watch had been a Movado, one that I enjoyed wearing greatly for the last 3-4 years. Recently I decided it was time to invest in a timepiece that I would love, be very presentable in business, but not too gaudy. Lastly, I wanted something that had good resale value instead of the me-toos that are now too commmon with so many models being released by every luxury watch maker.

I ended up looking at the Moonwatch. I didn't get mine from Amazon - for that I am a first time Omega buyer and didn't want to go with Grey market. I visited a DutyFreeShop in Singapore here last night and they had the limited edition of this same watch - (only 7969 was made) which came with a beautiful collectors case with a silver apollo coin and all the standards.
[...]
I chose to buy this edition instead of the regular versions, and though it set me back >5Grand USD, I am amazed at how happy and proud I am as an owner of this timepiece.

The manual movement is great. I like winding this daily. The watchstore guy told me to do about 10 winds / day, and never overdo -it , or you'll break the pin. The limited edition doesn't come in Sapphire crystal versions, which is fine given its aim as a collector's item that resembled the original moon watches.

If you want a great watch, I would def go for this. Sapphire will be good if you want to go everyday with it. As my is the limited edition, I intend on only wearing it on special occasions and will revert back to my Movado (which has sapphire), at busy areas like the airports, where I had many times been bumped by people. Avoid these situations with this type of watch, and I'm sure you will be able to enjoy it for years and years.

Lastly, the self-winding automatic has a great light ticking sound - I can already imagine my son wanting to steal this thing from me in the future as it is just way cool.

With the way our Fed is printing money like no tomorrow, this is something I would take in place of 5Grand of paper and enjoy for a lifetime.
