![]() Take a Look Over Your Shoulder $17.98 Take a look over your shoulder(reality) is a decent easy to listen to album. In fact when I first heard it back in 98 it was one of my favorite albums (granted I was 12). Obviously as others have mentioned Warren G is first and foremost a producer and this album is excellent in that respect. "Smoking me Out", "Relax ya Mind" and "Annie Mae" are some of my favorite tracks but the album has smooth sounding solid production throughout. Excepting the fact that "Can you Feel it" is basically just ripped from the Fat Boys and as stated in the track title "I Shot the Sheriff" is essentially just a remix of EPMD's "Strictly Business" I would say there isn't really a track that isn't well produced, not that those aren't both good tracks, I just deduct points for a lack of originality. As we have established Warren G isn't reality a rapper per se and he doesn't come with anything all that fresh on the mic, nor do his guest rappers, but they are good enough to keep the album enjoyable. In my opinion this album is best listened to in a car or with your girlfriend, it's great for that as you won't mind someone talking over the lyrics. All said, even with it's faults the warm vibe on the production makes this one of my favorite albums to throw in on a summer day and relax to. ![]() In the Mid-Nite Hour $11.98 CD was rockin.
