![]() Gotrek & Felix: The First Omnibus (Warhammer) $13.99 I picked this up because I had been so impressed with the Blackhearst Omnibus. What a huge disappointment. This omnibus is made up of three "novels", the first gets one star from me as it's not really a novel, rather a collection of short stories loosely linked together as the travels of the two main characters. Another disappointment is the lack of real development of Felix and Gotrek. While I didn't think they'd be the new "Fafhrd and Mouser", the premise of the two is very compelling. Sadly Felix is extremely shallow and and Gotrek even less. The second at least weaves a common villian amongst the chapters thus creating a novel. I give the second two stars. Better villians, yet still a disappointment. The third gets a bit better, so maybe two and a half stars. Overall, I'd really say pass on this. ![]() Warhammer Fantasy Rulebook (Hardcover) $57.75 Warhammers news rule set, I think it is like number 10000 or something like that. It's a great game. The book is a must have to play. Pick your army and have fun. ![]() Warhammer 40,000: Exterminatus $16.99 The most insidious and dangerous threat in the 41st millenium is one you cannot see. It is this thought that spawned the Inquisition, an organisation devoted to rooting out traitors, heretics, mutants and aliens that undermine Humanity. They scour the Imperium searching for threats without, and within. Immediately following the events of Warhammer 40,000: Damnation Cruise, Inquisitor Delius Alastor is dispoatched to investigate why a pair of dormanr Titans has gone undetected beneath the city of Carrion Gulf? Is Alastor capable of meeting what lurks beneath Carrion Gulf? ![]() The Blackhearts Omnibus (Warhammer) $11.99 The story is a fantasy version of "the Dirty Dozen" movie. But for all of that its pretty entertaining, descriptive, and filled with well developed characters. Sure the story is slightly over the top in believability with all the nick of the teeth surviving overwhelming odds, repeatedly, but it keeps thing exciting. |
