A&E's Biograghy of Pierpont Morgan is an excellent account of Morgan's life as told by many biographers. Yet it is missing the huge role that Anthony Drexel played in his shaping of Morgan's life and business career. Tony Drexel took Peirpont on as a partner in Drexel & Co., already a well established banking house, which had ties to Junius Morgan in Europe. It was Drexel that purchased the land for Pierpont in New York and he served as a role model and the principal decision maker in the combined firm. Not until after Drexel's death, when Pierpont was 56 years old, did the Drexel, Morgan & Co. bank get renamed to J.P. Morgan as we know it today.

After watching the biography or reading "The House of Morgan", I'd encourage you to read Rottenberg's, "The Man Who Made Wall Street".

If you're a day or swing trader, this is solid enough programming, some good insights and 'sound bites', at least it's a good change from financial news tv/talking heads.

I found it interesting to watch, because there's not much out there on video for active traders, so it was worth seeing at least to watch perspectives from a handful of traders, to hear how they think about trading. Other reviews here are pretty much on target. Well-produced, fast paced and interesting. "Must see" for active traders.

Dan Reingold did a fantastic job on this book by giving us a glimpse of the day to day activity inside the wall street. To those of us investors who are not privilege to obtain those sizzling information, it is humbling feeling. It looks to me that before we can invest on stocks, a lot of powerful and rich people would always have beaten us to it, and leave us with some crumbs to play with.
