I have never read a book like this ever. Let alone a book that was published 43 years ago. But i liked it alot. Anne is sweet and innocent, Jennifer is sweet and beautiful, but Neely has the talent but becomes evil almost. This book was ahead of it's time, and i would like to see a movie remake but with more details from the book in the movie. The only thing i disliked was how Anne finally gets Lyon but the affair with Neely happens and she learns to accept it. And Lyon actually starts it all over again with a new female star at the very last page. And still Anne accepts it. That is not ok and in the world today that would not fly. If Anne and Lyon were a real couple no way do i see them together forever. But a great book!
