 Savvy $16.99 this is such a good book its about some kids aand on of them is turning thirteen and in this family when you are tirteen you get a savvy and a savvy is a spichl pover and she thinks she knows  The Underneath $5.98 style over substance wins out at the end of this classic, but the performances are excellent and easily overcomes this problem. a remake of "criss cross", this is twist upon backstabbing twist until finally everbody is turning secretly against each other. mind you, it is slowmoving yet atmospheric. it seduces you into its neon lit world and brings into one hell of a story. confusing at times since it flashbacks from past to present continously, it always manages to stay intense. alison elliott is amazing as the coldhearted, icy girlfriend. ["The Spitfire Grill" is another film starred in, also a good movie].  Underneath $0.99 I'm impressed that Alanis continues to release great songs. She's unique and comes out with songs that have meaning and aren't just the cookie cutter stuff that most music is nowadays. I enjoyed her debut Jagged Little Pill album, and then became very selective and only enjoyed a few of her songs over the years, Hands Clean, Everything. And now she's released Underneath, a truly great song that talks about her relationship and the suffering that comes with making the relationship work. Great Music, Absolutely Wonderful chorus, and good lyrics too. |
