![]() Tommy Lee Goes to College $9.97 Not to be too long, nor too repetitive of other reviews, but my main problem is that the show was not as long as I expected. Another major annoyance is how tame it was. After having read Tommy Lee's "Tommyland" biography and the Mtley Cre biography "The Dirt," I had expected something completely different. The only difference between this reality show and a similar reality show also taking place at a college would be that the star of this show was famous before the show. Other than that, this might be a reality series taking place anywhere. Admittedly, that tameness factor is most likely due to the fact that it aired on TV first, and wasn't released straight on DVD. It was also somewhat dull to see Tommy struggle with his bizarrely chosen curriculum. Honestly, who in their right mind chooses somewhat advanced courses, both in Chemistry and Physics, along with a Biology course in identifying trees and a Literature course that they are completely unprepared for? Wait, I did say "right mind," didn't I? Never mind, then... ;-) All in all, in my opinion, the most entertaining element of this series is the chance to "study" Tommy doing what he does best: Have fun. ![]() Methods of Mayhem $18.98 there about 3 songs that I really like, but had to buy the CD to get them. They have no songs on iTunes, and that sucks ![]() The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada $14.94 On the advice of a very trusted friend, I purchased this dog, after asking Jim if I should buy it. He answered yes; enough said- I did that very thing. Poor advice. The story, and the life lessons contained therein, are very worthwhile. But the reward does not, in my opinion, justify the risk. Obviously, the reward is the life lessons; the risk is the visual images of two guys traveling horseback with a three day old corpse. Jim had said he didn't want to spoil it for me, by telling me too much before I'd seen it. I'd rather he'd spoiled it- the movie certainly smelled. |
