![]() I, Tina $6.99 Hands down SIMPLY THE BEST autobiography of an entertainer I've ever read!! Words are not enough. This is a life-changer... and let me tell you, the movie does NO justice to the real story!! If you like this, also check out ETTA JAMES' "Rage to Survive" which I would say was also just as good as this. GET THIS BOOK!! TINA WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!! ![]() What's Love Got To Do With It? $14.99 For years I have tried to avoid biopics for the sake of 'some truth, alot of fiction'. This film, endorsed by Tina herself, is one of the best films in the biopic arena. Tina even makes an appearance at the end. Fishburne & Bassett were superb choices to play Ike & Tina, and the quality of the film itself gets kudos for actually looking as if everyone cared about the whole project, unlike other biopics that look hastily done in order to make a buck. There are a few disturbing scenes of brutal violence, so second thought when showing this with children present. Overall, the quality of the DVD is excellent. I was pleased to see this again after viewing it in the theaters during it's initial run. 5 stars! ![]() Tina Live [CD/DVD] $24.98 With the release of this DVD/CD Tina confirms she is the undisputed Queen of rock. At nearly age 70, Tina's voice, beauty, stage presence, energy, and of course legs, put other performers to shame who are not even half her age. I had the privilege of attending a concert from this 2009 tour and was blown away by hearing Tina's powerful voice rip through hit after hit from her glorious 50-year reign in the brutal music industry. This DVD captures the energy and spectacle of the concert admirably, and the live CD is a nice bonus souvenir. The one thing the DVD is lacking is extras...all you get is the concert. For longtime Tina fans there are little surprises, since this functions as essentially a greatest hits concert, with some of her stage sets and performances virtually identical to previous concert DVD's such as "Wildest Dreams" and "24/7." Still, the viewer does not get the sense that Tina is simply going through the motions...in fact, she seems to have more energy and look even younger than she did in her 2000 tour, when she was 60. Overall, an oustanding show worth owning and revisiting. |
