I have been using mine in a canon camera i bought. I haven't used it extensively probably 300 pictures or so what can you say about a memory card. Just make sure you do your research and make sure it goes with what you are going to use it for. The letters and the capacity are the key.

I bought this unit to replace a Magellan 1400 that was stolen out of my truck. That was a middle of the road unit, but after trying this Garmin, it was an amazing let down. Sorry folks, but I found that Magellan about 10x better in overall rating in all ways that make it feel like a good value, good performance, ease of use, the map detail and POIs on the map on the Magellan.

A couple of times, the unit had no idea where I was and it took a long time for it to figure that out. I returned it.

Generally speaking, it functions pretty well. I love its super large storage space and simple operation. Only two minor things bother me. One is the programs that stored in its CD drive cannot be found anymore after I clicked "exit" when the installing window first appeared. The other is it will automatically turn down after idling a certain time. This sometimes cause little inconveniences. Otherwise everything works perfect plus classic exterior.
