Extras galore included. Highly recommended for children and adults of all ages! ![]() The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: 100th Anniversary Edition (Books of Wonder) $24.99 I wish I had read the the book before the I saw the movie. Judy Garland is so ingrained that its hard to separate these two. This edition [The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: 100th Anniversary Edition] is supposed to be an exact replica of the book as it was first printed. Great stuff. Enjoy the movie, but be sure and read the book. ![]() 2008 Mcdonalds Madame Alexander Wizard of Oz Dolls Set Of 12 Figure $42.95 I bought this for my daughter for her third birthday. She is obsessed with The Wizard of Oz and it is VERY difficult to find toys, not expensive collectibles, with the Wizard of Oz theme. Even with the postage, this set was reasonably priced and so far, four days later, holding up to constant play. If you are looking for exact replicas of either the movie or the original illustrations in the book, these are not it. They are typical Madame Alexander faces, all staring straight ahead and fairly expressionless. My daughter doesn't care. She is just thrilled to have the cast, in costume, in her own home. The nice thing is, there are twelve characters so the whole story is right there ready to be recreated and acted out. My daughter loves these and my six and nine year old have been playing with her. I was hoping with the 75th anniversary of the movie there would have been more affordable options out there for Oz toys. So far, this is pretty much it. |
