This movie was ok. They really needed this movie to be the first of the two Scorpion King movies. Mainly because this movie was when the main character of both movies was young and told why and how he became the assassin and one of the last of his kind in the original movie.

I liked all the related movies, Mummy series and the first Scorpian King movie. Fortunately I only rented this movie. Had to give this a star, Amazon requirement. I can not remember much about the quality of the blu-ray picture or the sound, because the movie was not good enough to care about remembering anything about.

This rock-heavy soundtrack to The Scorpion King is one of the best I've ever heard, along with Spawn and Dracula 2000. Almost every song here grabbed my attention, and I couldn't break away from them. The songs "I Stand Alone" and "Set if Off" by Godsmack and P.O.D. are just two of my favorites. "Streamline" and "Break You" by System of a Down and Drowning Pool didn't keep me interested that much, but Creed's "To Whom it may Concern" took me back.

"Yanking Out my Heart" by Nickelback is brillianr, while Hoobastank's "Losing my Grip" should've been a hit single in its own right. "Only the Strong" by Flaw should catch everyone's attention as quick as a bullet. "Iron Head" by Rob Zombie and Ozzy Osbourne is very good, but the chorus can get very tiresome. 12 Stones gives proof that they can be just as heavy as P.O.D. with "My Life." Mushroomhead's "Along the Way" should've been much longer, because it flat-out rocks! "Breathless" by Lifer is very haunting, while Sevendust's "Corrected" is another favorite on this soundtrack.

"Burn it Black" by Injected should've been a hit single, also. Why wasn't it a single? It's close to perfect with its heavy guitar riffs and loud drums. Oh well, life isn't always fair. "27" by Breaking Point grows with every listening, and Coal Chamber's "Glow" is an excellent closer to this soundtrack.

With all the little flaws aside, this is yet another soundtrack that I'll keep in my own home. A-
