![]() Greatest Hits $8.99 i guess i just don't do punk. i know it's uncool to trash the ramones, but having 10,000+ songs ranging from jazz, rock, pop, dance, hiphop, folk, indie, and more, this moronic, puerile stuff leaves me cold. i disliked it in 1979 and it hasn't improved on sampling their 'greatest hits' today. i'm not prone to neg reviews but just had to burst the 5-star bubble. if this is your bag you'll know within the first 10 secs because it's all the same. ![]() Leave Home $7.98 The Ramones second album is a wonderful 15 track collection of some of the loudest, fastest & funniest music ever made. How this group didn't catch on simply amazes me but that's for another rant. From "Glad to See You" Go to "Babysitter" I highly recommend this album to all Ramones fans and if you haven't heard this album yet I almost envy you because when you do, you'll know what the big deal is all about. ![]() Ramones: It's Alive 1974-1996 $19.98 It's Alive pound for pound is one of the best live albums ever. The best album The Ramones ever put out. For all of you that have been Punk Rock fans for years or new to this genre of music you should have this album. This catches The Ramones back in 1977 in London, England. What away to bring in 1978 but to see the band perform on 12-31-77. ![]() Rocket to Russia $7.98 Easily one of the top ten rock records ever. Wore out my vinyl in six months, back in the day. A few throw-away tunes I suppose, but there are monster classics here: Teenage Lobotomy, Do You Wanna Dance, Rockaway Beach, Sheena, Surfin Bird, and "I don't Care" which had what sounds like an unusual chord change, for them. Of course, they were branching ou. Within a year or two the sound was.. maturing. The bonus tracks here fill in the story nicely. |
