When I saw the movie I wanted to know more about where the story came from. I found that is was written by an author named Gilbert Adair who had originally wrote a book that was more racy and perverse titled, "The Holy Innocents" that I would love to read but cannot find it anywhere else but on the internet. "The Dreamers" is a toned down version of "The Holy Innocents" but is still worth the read. I read it in about a day. I really couldn't put it down once I started.
I would recommend it to a friend, but not to a grandmother of course ;)

This movie has all three. Personally, I could do without the rock'n'roll and the drugs don't do much for me, but the sex scenes are the best I can remember seeing. They involve two people whom I would probably like if I knew them, they don't go in for arrogant or slutty behaviour and their lovemaking is not impossibly prolonged or athletic. And of course, it's not simulated. It may seem odd to praise a film entirely on the sex it contains but, given the paucity of similar erotica elsewhere, I find this one outstanding. I suppose one could rip the disc and edit out the concerts, though that would further dilute the sketchy story line that exists in the uncut version.

I liked how Jeremy Jordan is different from the pop star image on his album. He's more dressed down and innocent so it's very sweet and cute. I think Jeremy Jordan fans will like it and maybe even love it. Nice little movie that you just might enjoy.
