![]() Bunnies By The Bay Bao Bao Storywear Blanket, Light Brown $68.00 I received this blanket as a gift for my baby shower. Although the bear is adorable, for the price, buy a barefoot blankie instead. This blanket is soft but not as soft as the barefoot, I have the little giraffe as a back up blankie but the barefoot is the best in my opionion. ![]() Lie With Me $7.99 There is just not much going on here. It's not strong at anything. Perhaps a candidate for a drive-in classic but where is the real tragedy ? ![]() The Brown Bunny $51.98 or, to turn the tables, most reviews on the Amazon site the additional tracks NOT used in the film, from John Frusciante, who is a famous roqueiro, I believe. For me, regardless what one will take from Signore Gallo's filmes (I enjoyed "Buffalo 66", Brown Bunny , not as well), and even of his soulful, yet amateur musical recordings (Bufalo 66 soundtrack features, and his CD recordings), Vincent Gallo has shown impeccable taste in choosing compositions for his soundtracks! Instead of using tipico po tracks, he mines the vaults, and chooses musics obscure from "unknown" (to the general USian population) to "famous" musicians , where he chooses the most "obscure" of their compositions. For Bufalo CD, early Yes and King Krimson, here, Gordon Lightfoot's "Beautiful", from the "familiar artistas" vaults, and on the Bunni soundtrack, the legendary trompettista Ted Curson and his tribute to the legendary sax/flautista Eric Dolphy ("Tears for Eric"), and the Italian Matisse/Accardo quarteto ("Smooth"), as well as obscure folcloric singer Jackson Frank. These compositions are as integral to the mood of Gallofilmes as, say Morricone to Sergio Leone "westerns", por ex.! Enjoy Gallo, despise him, no matter, this lad KNOWS what sounds great! A true "contro-corrente" in every way, manifests best when comes to musics! hat's off , VG, as the English say! ![]() The Brown Bunny DVD Unrated Region 2 Pal Import English Audio $69.95 Unrated Version - Import - Movie in English - Cover and Menus in Dutch English Audio - Optional Dutch Subtitles Vincent Gallo shocked the 2003 Cannes Film Festival with this highly personal film that he wrote, directed, produced, edited, photographed, and stars in. Gallo plays Bud Clay, a motorcycle racer on his way from New Hampshire to California in a van. The cross-country trip includes stops at a gas station, where Clay meets and falls for a gas station attendant named Violet (Anna Vareschi); a roadside food stand, where he meets the sadly beautiful Lilly (Cheryl Tiegs, making her feature-film debut); and the Las Vegas strip, where he picks up local prostitute Rose (Elizabeth Blake). As he comes into contact with these women, he can't let go of his past, which centers around Daisy (Chloe Sevigny), whom he hopes to find when he returns home to Los Angeles. "The Brown Bunny" is the kind of independent art film that was always destined to polarise the opinions of critics and audiences alike. Gallo's controversial decision to incorporate a graphic scene between him and co-star Chloe Sevigny was interpreted by many as gratuitous and the film's modest pacing and minimalist plot inevitably alienated a large section of mainstream film-goers. Starring Chlo¸«³ Sevigny (Boys Don't Cry, Broken Flowers, American Psycho, Dogville) - Cheryl Tiegs - Elizabeth Blake - Anna Vareschi - Vincent Gallo, and Directed by Vincent Gallo (Buffalo '66). When you stop to think that he is also directing himself and directing the photography, it's that much more impressive.
