The reason is that they have removed all the accessories and now make you buy everything extra. I have never used the windshield mount or lighter plug so the visor clip and the hard wire in cable cost another $25. I just as well have bought something for more money and got the extra items included. I am very disappointed in Beltronics for CHEAPing up their items by removing what should be standard items.
