![]() The Mind of the Married Man - The Complete First Season $29.98 I was fortunate enough to watch the show when it aired on HBO. It was wonderful. I hate seeing New shows out here on DVD that are just a waste of time and not have the other seasons Of this series released. This show was amazing a look into the life of a true man and get to see what is happening in his head. HBO should run and release the rest of the seasons and fast..... ![]() Tell Me You Love Me - The Complete First Season $39.98 I picked up a used copy and was pleasantly surprised. It is not a perfect show and drags at times but you have to allow for the the fact that there was no formual to follow for this show- it was an attempt at something much different. ![]() Descent (Original 'NC-17' Version) $26.98 A gritty story of male and female rape and revenge. It is a dark story and can leave the viewer with questions was it worth the revenge. This film is handle quite well considering the subject matter and can be a bit daugnting but i think it was acted and directed well. There are two versions this NC17 is the uncut , uncompromising version with explicit language and nudity plus the female and male rape are directed very well without being too shocking. Get this for your collection. ![]() Californication - Season One $39.99 I saw the first episode of "Californication" as a bonus feature for "The Tudors" season 1. I loved it. It took awhile to get around to purchasing it, but it really is one of the best shows I've seen. At first, I wondered if it was going to be an endless parade of one-night stands for Hank Moody (played brilliantly by David Duchovny) but the show turned out to be so much more. Yes, there's a good amount of sex, but also explores the complex relationships of the people in Hank's life, including his ex and his daughter. Watch as Duchovny gets naked, high, throws up on an over-priced piece of "art," gets drunk, steals a dog, punches a guy's lights out for insulting his ex, and delivers some of the best written dialogue around. The show is a delight to watch and though much of Hank Moody's behavior is ridiculous, by the end of the series, he's really a rather sympathetic character. As a friend of ours put it, "He (Duchovny) does loveable sleazeball really well." I highly recommend this series. |
