 Jacques Ppin's Complete Techniques $24.95 the other reviews cover what is in the book quite well one way to describe the approach of this book is by analogy to building a house: this book would tell you how to cut, hammer, sheet rock and all that but not how to design or decorate the house..... this doesn't get into flavors, seasoning and menus but it is great on how to prepare that fish or chicken or whatever, the instructions are clear and reliable  Photo Techniques $41.93 The magazin itself is a good one, I found the tutorials very useful, it's not like some magazine with heavy glossy paper and what they call it "products reviews" this one have a realy technical tutorials that you would't find anywhere else and the price is right..BUT I can't say the samething about the process of subscribing to the magazin, after more than 8 weeks of sending my subscribe I recived nothing and after writing to amazon about that they told me "your magazine was due to start with the May/June 2009 issue. The publisher will extend your subscription for 1 issue, the next issue you will receive is the July/August 2009 issue by June 12th." not even a single word of apology or an offer to pay back for my loss, make youself a favour and buy the issue at the time from your local book store, no need to subscribe it was a waste of money and time for me.  Classical Pilates Technique - The Complete Mat Workout Series English & Spanish (Modified Basic / Basic / Intermediate / Advanced / Super Advanced) $19.99 I've had this DVD for years, and nothing comes close in offering a quick and effective pilates workout. The production quality is nothing spectacular (setting is a studio with a curtain backdrop), but the quality of the moves will make up for it. It's quick, and in 10 minutes I've worked my core more than ANY other DVD I've tried. And I've been around the block! I wish they would release an updated version - just something more fresh for those of us who have been following this for so many years. There is not much time spent on explaining the poses, so it might not be suited for an absolute beginner.  Ginger Baker: Master Drum Technique $24.95 I'm not the most experienced drummer in the world, but I have watched Ginger Baker for some time. He is just a interesting as John Bonham or Mick Fleetwood etc. You will appreciate the lessons from this video if you are a serious rock drummer. Cream set all in motion and this is the "MAN" who did it on the drums. Lots of beginner rudiments (man that will sink it), really, you can see why you need to practice and use them. I've seen alot of videos where the instructor was afraid to mention rudiments for fear we would all run off and hide. Well unfortuneately if you dont spend the time practicing them, you lose. Great video get it, practice it, play it live for your friends, who knows maybe it will be the difference in your attitude (about play)? |
