I remember when this came out. I was not comfortable. I heard hello hello on the radio. It was catchy enough. Yet I wasn`t sure of this new derivative of stp. I felt Loyal too STP. But curious. Thank god my curiosity got the best of me. An ecclectic mix of good catch pop rock Hello hello and Ring Twice. ALong with melodic ballads wash me down, behind and fill the fields. As good as anything STP did on their alternative side Purple and tiny music. Not as good if u like their heavier stuff in core and no.4 But since I like it all I don`t care.
And contrary to belief dave coutts can vocally stand up with weiland.
Just did not hear him enough to appreciate his less grungy, more clean
style; which contrasts scotts. If scott was the filler for this album and dave was the stp singer; I guarantee scott would be villified too.
Overall I say it is a clean and almost poppish hippyish album.
Antithesis to their grunge stuff. Not a bad thing either; unless ur narrow minded. It holds up well. If u like stp or just good music, buy this.

DC has a wonderfully droll (DC here would happily digress about the word "droll", saying something along the lines of "what an interesting word, like one you'd find in Beowulf, in its original tongue)-as I was saying, DC has a wonderfully droll way of seeing, thus describing, people, places, events, ideas, things. He's also a terrific wise cracker (as opposed to a terrible, unwise or "dumbass" cracker- in Reverend Al's lexicon). DC is what used to be called a wise acre, only often better -- a wise acre and a half.
