We think the directions and maps of the hikes are very helpful however, a warning to those not accustomed to hiking in the mountains may find that the distances and times are sometimes a little off.  Hiking Colorado's Summit County Area: A Guide to the Best Hikes in and around Summit County (Regional Hiking Series) $14.95 Good up to date book on popular trails in Summit county. Hiked six trails out of the book. All information was spot on, with the exception of new bathroom facilities installed at some trail heads this year. Nice surprise for the wife. Directions were always good and checkpoints worked well. Shrine Mtn. was the best, followed closely by Lily Pad Lake trail. Difficulty ratings were appropriate as well.
