Steven Seagal will never be acclaimed as a great actor,but his films are action packed and exciting.This one was filmed in my hometown of Bridgeport,Ct in 2007 (due to the State of CT giving generous tax credits to movie makers).This one features Seagal as an alcoholic degenerate gambler ex-cop on a losing streak.A benefactor (Lance Henriksen)buys his "markers" and allows the disgraced gambler to "work off" his debt by assassinating various bad guys.Standard Seagal fare here,lots of shooting,car chases,and of course Steven beats up hundreds of guys along the way.Nothing great or original here,but a great 90 min.thrill ride.

Looking for a no-brainer that is fun to watch, the standard-but-effective revenge film? Well, this is it.

As usual, everything is played to the hilt, meaning the bad guys couldn't be much worse. They not only kill hero Steven Seagal's wife and kid but are crude and use profanity in every sentence. They are the low-life scums in every sense of the word.

Seagal's real-life wife, Kelly LeBrock, plays a nurse in here, nursing her Buddhist he-man back to health after the thugs had left him for dead in the aforementioned family killing. The rest is simply Seagal's road to recovery and for revenge against those punks...but it's an interesting road, enough to fill the bill if you're in a revenge-seeking mood

I really enjoyed watching this movie. Seagal is the man and his movies are action packed and entertaining. I would recommend this to any Seagal fan who hasn't seen it yet and you can't go wrong with the price either. I hope they bring more of Seagal's movies to bluray as I will buy them all!
