![]() Comedy Is Not Pretty! $5.98 My first Steve Martin album was " Wild and Crazy Guy " so this was my second album from him and still a very solid album for Steve coming off his Phoenix on Saturday Night Live and 1978 hit song " King Tut ", Some of the bits may not translate well to the younger crowd like " Googlephonics" but real talent is displayed in " Drop Thumb Medley " yeah man Steve and his banjo ROCKS. This was recorded at the peak of the night club Seventies before we entered the more mature Eighties, and it was fun to party, so you can forgive the free wheeling pick up chicks vibe. I love Steve Martin's comedy because he's funny without being crude, he was almost " intellectual " in his pseudo-post-college-doubt God-and pot wasn't that bad approach to late Seventies lifestyle. Always funny never explicit and I admit I wish he was still this good. ![]() The Crow [Limited Edition Pop-Up Digipak] $19.98 This is a great album! Every song on here os excellent! My favorite song is Pretty Flowers. Dolly Parton and Vince Gill did a great job with this song. If you like the banjo or Bluegrass music then you will love this cd! ![]() Saturday Night Live: Best of Steve Martin $9.98 This DVD didn't make me laugh even once. None of the sketches on this DVD seemed like they could be Steve Martin's best. It is also short, and the quality isn't very good. The sound was hard to hear on some parts, and the picture was blurry. There were too many scenes that just weren't worth watching at all, and the few that were almost funny didn't make up for the others that weren't. I might be the only one, but I didn't see what was so funny about the King Tut song. I used to think Steve Martin was funny, but now I can't remember why... ![]() Steve Martin - The Wild and Crazy Comedy Collection (Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid / The Jerk / The Lonely Guy) $14.98 all three are top notch comedy in keeping with steve Martin's style of humor. If you like any of these try "Planes, Trains and Automobiles". |
