I've bougth this toy for my kid and he likes it pretty much. Yet, there are some small inconveniences that I want to point out:
- there is one issue with the cargo bay door (the manufacturer has chosen an unfortunate/cheap solution for this door): there is no locking mechanism and everytime the shuttle stands on the launching pad the door stays mostly open. Sometimes my kid gets annoyed by this as he does not succeed every time to make stay shut;
- another issue is with the painting of the truck: most probably during transportation, the blue painting that is on the truck got also on the shuttle wing and engine;

Overall I would say it is a good toy but small improvements would have made it much nicer.

My son got this DVD for his 5th birthday and the whole family loves it! It is extremely kid friendly, but still interesting enough that his dad and I learned a lot! Wonderful educational and fun video -- my 7 and 3 year olds love it too. Great buy -- you won't regret it!

My five year old grandson was overjoyed, excited, and delighted with the space shuttle. This was a birthday present. He has informed me he is to make a movie of Batman going to the moon to meet Mr. Freeze.

The Space Shuttle (Pull Ahead Books)

We bought this for our preschool grandson who was really into rockets and space ships and count downs. His favorite toy was a die cast space shuttle. The book put it all together with real photographs and simple text that explained and labeled everything. After we read it through to him several times, he could point out all the parts on his shuttle and was able to explain many of parts and what they did. The readability level of the book along with the emphasis on highlighting and explaining one thing per page is ideal for this age. I can't wait to get him more books from this series.
