i bought this for my toddler son's room. He loves the planets! i used them as a mobile over his crib, they are very entertaining. Before i had them hanging, he would roll and chase the glowing planet all around his room before bed. he thought it was the funniest thing ever!

After reading only the first few pages of this book, I could see where it was headed, so I read no further. It's pretty clear that the author is an un-apologetic heliocentrist. In the introduction, he skips right over the fact that it has never been proved that the Earth revolves around the Sun.

The idea that the Earth revolves around the Sun is a ridiculous theory which goes against all observable facts.

This toy is a flimsy piece of garbage. It's not at all realistic. You have to put everything together (more pieces than I thought). Then you have to deal with the pain of actually trying to paint each individual planet (some of which are smaller than a dime). Can you imagine having to use water paint (which runs badly) on a small little piece of plastic? Try using more than one color on something that tiny. You end up getting a glob of paint. Also very small parts, not recommended for people under 120 years old!

Look for a better model, I certainly will. Cause the one I ordered is already in some landfill somewhere.
