Was taking a trip to Hawaii and flew a 767 which required this adapter in order to use electronic devices. I read the reviews and was skeptical, concerned the unit would melt on me. Got it the day before we left (had to paid the over priced shipping charges) and didn't open it until we got on the plane.

It worked great. I couldn't believe something so small could be so powerful. Our DVD player's battery died and the kids were watching their movie again in no time. The unit was easy to set up and the blue "on" indicator light is definitely a plus. The unit was running for at least 3 hours and it worked great. It was not noisy and although it did get warm it was never excessively hot. Certainly not any hotter than my laptop after it is running for 2 hours.

It had two great bonus features, a cigarette lighter adapter so it can be used in your car (thought its only use was for the airplane) and a nifty compact carry bag for all the parts.

I'll admit that I have only used it once but so far I give it five stars. It really lived up to its billing.

I had a check engine light come on in my Kia about 60 miles from home.
Of course it was at a gas station and nothing had changed. I had taken the car in for maintenance the week before so I thought maybe the dealer had done something.
Or that it might have been a leak in the gas cap.

I recently purchased a model 450 Smart Car in the USA. This is one of the European models that have not been imported officially but I did get one and wanted a book that tells me the history of the development of my car. This book does that and even goes a little into the newer model 451 that began importing to the USA in 2008. For what I wanted, this book was perfect. Now if I could only find one of those British books that seemed to exist for almost all car models 30 years ago that showed how to take the car apart and fix it. I don't think a book like that exists for the Smart Car. Yet.
