They are great; as musicians. And I like live music in general. But it's not what I expected. Which isn't a bad thing. I'm not much of a music critic, nor do I claim to know much about music. Here's the thing, if you are hoping that The Frames will be similar in sound to how he sounds in Once (which was what I was hoping), well, it's a completely different sound. Or type. Or maybe genre. I can't really explain what I'm trying to say. I do NOT dislike the CD, it just wasn't what I expected. |
