But the authors of this book know their stuff. Written by architects and planners for same; but accessible to the lay reader. A good tool for those interested in developing long term care facilities and senior-oriented communities. Centrobix Fall and Injury Prevention $49.95 Aside from being absurdly priced, this video, I think, has the potential to really make a difference for someone with limited balance, range, and mobility... if used regularly. It is after all, an exercise routine. However, the routine as shown on the video does move too fast, and for someone watching the first time, it may seem too advanced for the elderly and disabled. This is perhaps because the video doesn't stress enough the importance of easing oneself into the exercises. I could see some people never attempting the program because of that and others (more zealous) injuring themselves because they weren't able to complete the exercises. I bought the video for my disabled mother who falls a lot. She can't wait to begin the exercises once her wrist heals from her last fall. I truly hope this video helps. |
