![]() Barrel Fever: Stories and Essays $14.99 I couldn't put this book down! I didn't find all of the stories to be as good as some of the clear winners of the bunch, but they were all engaging and very entertaining. Wonderfully written in prose that could easily be studied by aspiring writers. I plan to begin reading the author's next book, "Naked," right away. While this book contains a collection of (mostly) short stories and (some) non-fiction essays, I felt the essays were the best. It's good to see that his other books seem to contain (all?) essays. A truly enjoyable read! As a side note, I read the Kindle edition of this book. It was well formatted and contained the entire text. ![]() I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence $15.99 I have this book and it is hysterical! Amy Sedaris is a creative genius! I sent a copy to a friend who has been fighting a sickness for some time. She said it was SUCH a source of laughter for her! She loved it - and you know what they say? Laughter is the best medicine! ![]() The Book of Liz $7.50 I totally love both Amy and David Sedaris, but I have to say this was very disappointing, I'm not even sure why they published this. It seems like it would be the kind of thing you would put together just for family members who were there, get it and love whatever you do because you are family. I would caution anyone else from purchasing this. ![]() Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim $14.99 I read this for my book club and after I finished it a read some reviews and they talked about the humor in the book. I didn't find it that funny. |
